22 August 2026 update: My very much public history with other editors proves that I am kind unless other people are being unkind. Kindness ≠ I don't defend myself or I don't call it out when I see an injustice. :)
As a longtime lurker/observer, I have witnessed what the culture on Wikipedia is like, and how combative people can be on here. I will own up to any errors and often try to fix them, if politely informed. I'm a Gen Z member of the Asian diaspora in Europe 🇪🇺. I have some interest in Asian topics, but I also edit pages about Western topics. 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕 I love my girlfriend. 💕💕💕💕💕💕 I don't like people, especially from older generations, who act like they're always correct simply because they've been around longer.
My edit history proves that I readily accept corrections, if they are valid and delivered in a respectful way. I also try to do this with other people. I also frequently self-correct. I have high regard for Wikipedians who don't have a lot of pride, who are willing to take accountability for their errors because hey, we're all human, right? But if you're one of those Wikipedians who insists they're right about everything even when they're blatantly wrong, well... good luck with your life!
Some more about me as an editor:
- Wrote Jordan Li by myself. I gave it a C-class rating but someone else immediately bumped it up to B-class when it first got published. It goes to show how even though I'm new to the site, I'm really good at sourcing and writing quality prose. Friendly reminder that experience ≠ you're a better editor!
- Received a cool Tireless Contributor Barnstar within a month of being a Wikipedia editor. Again, being new doesn't mean you're a less skilled editor than older or more experienced ones!
- Top editor for Heeseung. I cannot "disruptively edit" that page because I wrote the bulk of it! Just facts.
