Eddie Dridi (born November 12, 1994) is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He gained a following in 2020 when he posted song covers on the video-sharing platform YouTube. The following year, he caught the attention of artist manager Justin Newsome, which led him to release his debut opening intro called "The Beginning" on October 10, 2023.

Early life

Dridi was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec on November 12, 1994 to Tunisian parents. Growing up he taught himself to play the piano, drums, guitar and produce songs. At the age of twelve, he started playing keyboard with professional musicians and started to take music seriously. He has two brothers and one older sister. Eddie Dridi grew up listening to Prince, John Mayer and Babyface, who influenced his music.

Career

Eddie Dridi started pursuing a music career at the age of 18 and started to record in 2020 where he got recognition on YouTube. He had the opportunity to play his first concert in Toronto’s prestigious, 3000-seat Massey Music Hall, But instead, Dridi, the young, recording artist, chose to debut at the House of Jazz, an obscure venue house in his hometown of Montreal. On October 10, Dridi released his debut intro "The Beginning" In 2005 I got a guitar and I started to just play, and then I started to write songs," Dridi stated in an interview.
