To improve the account creation process on various language versions of Wikipedia, we need to do tests to see what works best. Working with English Wikipedia as a starting point, and later do similar tests on other language versions, we need to create new alternatives. Right now we have a few versions of the account creation pages on the Outreach wiki (namely here), but we want more alternatives. How would you like the account creation process to look like? Add your own ideas below or comment here.

Testing process

edit

On February 22nd, we began testing the various proposed pages against the existing ones to see which pages best inspire the people with the new accounts to start editing. Each version is tested for two full days. Then the effects are measured against an established control group. You can still add other pages to test (see below).

Once we determine which solutions produce the best results, we work on them to make them better-looking, and hopefully we can show enough improvement over the existing versions by July that many language versions of Wikipedia (and its sister project) will want to roll these changes out.
