New article name is Rude Band
The Rude Awakening was started in 1991 as "Maxx Boogie & The Rude Awakening" by Popular Morning Radio DJ Maxx Boogie (Kevin Flynn), Bassist Warren Fiihr, Drummer Kevin Johnson, Keyboardist Mike Jensen & Guitarist Garret Hansen. As "Maxx Boogie & The Rude Awakening" they set out to emulate the rowdy style of a live morning radio show with the specific intention of mixing a wide variety of musical demographics. [1] Playing everything from Classic Rock to Country to Disco to Alternative Pop. They accomplished just that.
Today, The Rude Band consists of members, Garret Hansen, Greg Kleinsasser, Trace Mahoney and Tyson Conn. They are still a highly versatile variety group that plays over 80 shows each year.
