Nina Silvert Nina Silvert appears in Aiden Shaw's autobiography,'My Undoing', most noted for saving his life in a car accident, as well as being bass guitarist in his band, Aiden Shaw's Whatever. Nina SIlvert is a practitioner of Silat, a Malaysian and Indonesian martial art, and has competed internationally, winning a bronze medal in the 1997 World Silat Championships in Kuala Lumpur. Aiden Shaw's Whatever produced one album called Whatever, and a second album of Nina Silvert singing songs penned by Shaw titled NIna Silvert does Aiden Shaw. Nina SIlvert has produced solo performance art films such as Killing Time, NIna Silvert's Milk, and Preparing for Fear. Nina Silvert is also one time bass guitarist in masked band Cantankerous, in this guise known as Argent. Nina Silvert played bass guitar in Leigh Bowery's Minty before Matthew Fisher took over the position, and played in The Off Set and Ping Pong with Louise Prey, Adamski and Dave Barbarossa (Adam and The Ants). Some gigs were played with Nina singing and Dave Barbarossa on drums as a duet.
