Hateefa Low Kom (born 19 March 1997) is a Mauritian model[3], Software Engineer and beauty pageant titleholder[4]. She was the winner of the Miss Eco International Mauritius 2020[5] and Miss Earth Mauritius 2023 beauty pageant [6].
Early life
editBorn and raised in Mauritius to Mauritian father, Ahmad, who worked as an electrician, and Mauritian mother, Marceline, who was a housewife[7]. She attended Forest Side SSS before transferring to Pamplemousses SSS. She attended the University of Mauritius, graduating with a BSc (Hons) degree in Software Engineering[7].
Hateefa speaks English, French, and Mauritian Creole[1].
Personal life
editShe is an animal lover[8] and a passionate advocate for environmental protection[8]. Her home is filled with many rescued pets. She also has a greenhouse where she grows various vegetables. She lives and breathes self-sustenance. In her free time, Hateefa enjoys reading and learning new things.
Miss Earth 2023
editHateefa first garnered international attention during the bikini photoshoot[9] at Miss Earth 2023, which took place from November 27 to December 22, 2023. On the final night, she ranked in the top 20, making her one of the semi-finalists.
