Hottest temperature ever recorded in Houston Texas

On this day, the thermometers at Houston Intercontinental Airport, now known as George Bush Intercontinental, gave a steaming hot reading of 101 degrees, which was high enough to set a new record. The Chronicle stated that the temperature was 10 degrees higher than the average, but it was nothing like the 110-degree record breaking day on September 4th, 2000.

Houston most of the time can't reach temperatures of 102 degrees or more, except for that one summer back in 2011 which was recorded as Houston’s all-time hottest and driest summer. That year, temperature thresholds went above 102 degrees forty-six times and the hottest Day of the 2011 summer got as high as 109 degrees and got feel like temperatures of 115 degrees!
