I've been compiling an environmental history of the Crystal Lake Watershed for several years.
I have a personal passion (obsession) about Crystal Lake, Benzie Co., MI. I'm what might be classified as a mix of Townie, Lakie, and Fudgie. I was born in Frankfort, My family has had property on Crystal Lake since 1928. I commute from Midland to Crystal Lake on a regular basis. I'm an environmental engineer with all my degrees from the University of Michigan. I've been involved with environmental studies of the Crystal Lake Watershed since the 1960's. I'm also very active in the Crystal Lake & Watershed Association.
P.S. Someone was nice enough to cite www.CLWA.us as a prime resource for the Wikipedia page on Crystal Lake. I'm the one who created that website!
