Hello, this is the first time I've created my user page. Hopefully, I can eventually steal enough bits of script from other people's to make this look better in future.
As the song goes, I'm "just a seventies' baby, early eighties' child, reminiscin' 'bout the days in a Britain back yard".
About the name
Yeah, it's a bit weird, isn't it? I'm quite enamoured of obscure or little-used sayings and homilies, particularly euphemistic exclamatives such as this. I try to use this name everywhere else on the internet except eBay (whose ungentlemanly practices preclude the use of spaces in user IDs).
Stuff I like on Wikipedia
I like a lot of the UK politics articles since they all seem to be very well written and give a lot of information on an area little understood by most people.
I like the fact that people can talk candidly about differences of opinion and that all these pages are publicly edited.
Stuff I don't like on Wikipedia
Stubs.
Sentences that don't scan.
Poor spelling and punctuation.
Articles I've started
- National Weights and Measures Laboratory
- The Royal Parks
- UK Government Decontamination Service - appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know? column on the 21st of November, 2006.
