Dr. Chambers Harris of Modesto, CA graduated from Carlton College in Minnesota and then pursued her PhD for chemistry at the University of Nebraska. Doctor Harris left the institute shortly after being "disgusted" by witnessing the negative effects of hormones on rats. Harris then created a home lab, where she was later able to take part in the research of the modernization of the birth control pill. The modernized pill contains less hormones than the previous birth control pills administered to patients.[1]
