Henry Picado as Creative Director for some major fashion house in the United States, Henry has managed to make another footprint in the fashion industry by bringing the success to those fashion houses in which he was known for the success of the same. Henry has caught the attention of many editors, stylists and celebrities and his designs have garnered a strong following including Lauren Conrad, Stephanie Pratt, Anna Lynn McCord, Carrie Ann Inaba, Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, Soledad O’Brien, and Dayana Mendoza (Miss Universe 2008) When Henry was designing for Aidan Mattox, as a Senior Designer, his work appeared on a wide range of television shows including Gossip Girl, 90210, Dancing With the Stars, The Hills and The Today Show.

Henry began designing and creating as a child in Costa Rica. As a teenager, he entered and won many art contests. After participating in fashion events, his desire to pursue a career in fashion was ignited. He emigrated from Costa Rica to New York City to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology. As a struggling young artist, F.I.T. recognized his talent and potential and was very interested in nurturing Henry’s career in fashion. After leaving F.I.T., Henry began working at Bob Mackie as an assistant and after only six months was designing three collections for the house of Mackie: B’Zar, Vesper and Bob Mackie Evening. It was there that Henry began creating one-of-a-kind wardrobes for special celebrity clients including Joan Collins, Kristi Yamaguchi, Vanna White and Donna Da Varona. In 2002, Henry left Bob Mackie to be the senior designer at Demetrios where he designed evening wear, bridal, couture wedding dresses and prom. Henry brings his overall creative vision through his experience, passion for design and his desire to create beautiful dresses for women. He is very involved in every aspect that goes into making each dress, starting with the color palette, the fabric, to the way the dress looks, fits, and feels. And with all this success behind him is when Henry take the initiative to start HENRY PICADO MENS, in here is when he expresses himself in another art form. The Men’s Collection caters to those who search for their own identity or form to express them self in a very fashionable way. The attention to detail is reflected in each style and collection Henry designs.
