About Me

edit

My name is Stephanie, and I am a graduate student in Museum Studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). The focus of my degree is Museum education and public programming. I am also currently involved in the WikiProject Wikipedia Saves Public Art, for which I will be researching and documenting (via Wikipedia) two artworks at the Indiana Statehouse.

Interests

edit

My academic background is in English and American studies. I am interested in American poetry, particularly of the 20th and 21st centuries; my favorite poets include Lucille Clifton and Naomi Shihab Nye. I am also interested in 20th century American history, especially the Civil Rights Movement. My hobbies include experimenting with various kinds of arts and crafts.

  The WikiProject Public art Barnstar
I award you this WSPA barnstar for your excellent work on the Indiana Statehouse project. You've made an two very good articles (Matthew E. Welsh (Edwards) and Values of Civilization (Doyle)), and figured out the complex and difficult land of Wikipedia copyright rules and helped the class get all of their images licensed correctly (what a pain in the neck!). For all of this I give you a pooped on WSPA barnstar. Congratulations! RichardMcCoy (talk) 14:26, 4 December 2010 (UTC)--RichardMcCoy (talk) 03:06, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
