David Cheng was born on July 21st,1989 (22 years old) in Beijing, China. After attending school in Washington, USA most of his childhood, Cheng began his career as an international professional racing driver. Specializing in Formula, Karting, Stock, and Road Racing, Cheng is one of the only drivers in the world that races two full series on two continents in a single season.
Background
editDavid Cheng Racing[1] began in 2009 to establish and improve the racing career of David Cheng. His interest in motorsports began at an early age, and gaining dual- citizenship within the USA and Hong Kong left open opportunity for his international dreams. Current manager of DCR, Dan Gulickson, was David's History teacher in high school. He encouraged David to follow his dream of becoming a professional racing driver and continues to guide him on the path to fulfilling this dream. Along with Dan and Brand Manager, Ashley van Dyke [2] , Cheng has developed and progressed well, on his way to several victories, and continues to grow as a professional driver and international All‐Star.

Finished 3rd at Mid‐Ohio in first attempt in the Le Mans Prototype Challenge race.
