Anui Sainyiu is a politician and Naga Scholar from Myanmar. He graduated from Mahidol University. He currently doing documentation for endangered language and cultures.
Biography
Anui Sainyiu was born in Lahe, Sagaing Division, Myanmar, the 7th child of Qëbo Hioda and Nyigi Qadai. His maternal and paternal parents are from the lineage of Lahe Chief. He attended high school in Lahe, received B.A. (History) from Mandalay University, and earned Doctor of Philosophy in Mahidol University, Thailand.
In 2019, October 5, he married Naw Khu Shee, a Karen ethnic from Yangon.
Politics
He represented Naga National Party and contested for Amyotha Hluttaw constituency 12, Naga Region in 2020 general election of Myanmar.
Publication
He has written and published numerous books and articles within the community used particularly Lainong language. He also is the author of ethnic content integration and local curriculum in Myanmar and Lainong: threatened language in Myanmar.
