Richard Pendle (Tracker and Bear Hunter)
Richard Pendle (1890-1963) was a tracker who hunted within Montana (USA), Saskatchewan and Manitoba (Canada).He went on many hunting expeditions between 1905 to 1938. He was well known for his success in hunting bears which is what he is locally known for.
Early Life
Pendle was born in Montana near present-day Miles city, Montana. His father (Also Richard Pendle) died during his infancy. Little else is known of his early life.
Hunting
Richard pendle took part in many hunts throughout his life, he was a very successful hunter and is most famous for his skill of tracking and killing Grizzly and Black bears. Pendle pictured with one of his trophies.
