Many of you may recall a cartoon from the 1970's called, "Hong Kong Phooey." It was one of my favorites and I have the pajamas to prove it.
I offer my services as an editor here for the purpose of maintaining a standard of excellence through accuracy. I wish for Wikipedia to become and/or remain a truly useful and reliable source of information: that it may become a repostiory for such a wealth of information to the extent that ordinary folk may become increasingly confident in consulting its pages.
My specialties are:
- English Language Usage
- English Grammar and Punctuation
- Tonal Interpretation (reading between the lines)
- Debate
- Dispute Resolution
- Source Evaluation
- Bias Indentification
I have been an editor for a number of years and have extensive experience in the finer points of objective criticism. I am not a know-it-all, but I tend to stand by my convictions until evidence is presented that proves otherwise. However, I am very open-minded and will always consider the views of others with respect.
Any contribution I make to the improvement and betterment of this site is done with an air of humility and a desire for accuracy. I keep my personal opinions and biases to myself. They have no place here.
I have been asked on numerous occasions throughout my life to join various debate teams, as well as, organizations whom believed could benefit from my skills in making their case for court, committee, or policy review sessions. I have, for the most part, declined to participate, but have functioned in many instances as a mediator in such proceedings.
I do not take research lightly. When I conduct research, I prefer to leave "no stone unturned." This is awfully time-consuming, which I suppose is why I am not fond of it. However, I will not hesitate to research a topic when I believe it is imperative and necessary for a) bringing about a resolution to a disagreement or b) substantiating a claim (mine or that of others).
