editSoekris Engineering, Inc. is a small embedded hardware platform manufacturer. Its products are mainly sold for OEM markets. The devices themselves are designed for use as routers, switches, firewalls and other lightweight networking appliances. They are based on Geode single chip processors with an x86 architecture and target on running open source operating systems, like FreeBSD, OpenBSD, NetBSD and Linux.
The Soekris company resides in Santa Cruz, California, USA and is chaired and founded by Søren Kristensen.
Soekris also markets hardware crypto accelerators based on Hifn processors for FreeBSD and OpenBSD systems.
