Background
Honourable Prince Babatunde Saliu is a Nigerian politician, philanthropist, and a royal prince of Oworonshoki in Lagos State, South-West, Nigeria. His father is Oba Bashir Oloruntoyin Saliu, the Oba of Oworonshoki and his mother is Olori Adeola Saliu (Nee Ashade of Ogba). His parents are from the Ojora/Oloworo and Oluwa/Ashade royal families in Lagos. He attended Ifelodun Primary School, Sari-Iganmu, Lagos, and thereafter proceeded to Comprehensive High School, Ayetoro, Ogun State. Saliu then attended the University of Lagos for his first degree in Philosophy. He also obtained a bachelor degree in Business Administration in the same University of Lagos. As a lover of education, Prince Saliu proceeded to have a master's degree in Philosophy and another professional master's degree in Public and International Affairs, all at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. Saliu is currently undergoing a doctorate in Philosophy at the University of Lagos.
Political Career
Due to his love for public service, he served as a Special Assistant to the former governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola on Waterfront Infrastructure Development from 2012-2015. In 2019, he was appointed by the current Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwoolu as Senior Special Assistant on Land Matters. He is also a serving Personal Assistant to the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu. Currently, he is aspiring for the Chairmanship of Kosofe Local Government of Lagos State under the APC platform.
Personal Life
He is a Muslim. Saliu is happily married with children.
