Singles:
In May of 2020 Malpractice released their debut single titled “Cymbals”. This was recorded with Arts Education Exchange and released with AEE Recordings. Overall Cymbals was well received with positive reviews from credited music reviewers and blogs. Cymbals was released to mark the bands second anniversary. It is a new punk anthem written by Oli to express the anger, reality and complexity of drug use as seen from the perspective from an onlooker. The single was written at a time when the band was feeling lots of frustration and anger, the bands lyrics often reflect their reactions to current events and the culture around them.
Worlds Malpractice is the bands second single released in the December of 2020. The fast-paced angry track written to express the bands frustration at current world situations. Despite the track being written in the January of 2019 the message was even more pertinent than ever before at the time of release.
Other Releases:
The Last Time (Ballad of Oli ) – This was an exclusive Bandcamp release which stemmed from a poor attempt at writing a “happy” song, as the lyrics quickly sour. This was an acoustic recorded track and so far the only track in which Oli has attempted to deviate from his normal shouty routine.
