iGlue is an online semantic search and collaborative web annotation system in beta stage.
iGlue uses natural language processing technology to identify entities (e.g. people, places and institutions) in webpages, providing related facts and media (e.g. images, videos).[3] iGlue's users can manually annotate text, images and videos, as well as rate existing annotations.[3]
History
editiGlue is a spinoff of a joint computer science and philosophy project at Eötvös Loránd University. [3]
The collaborative editing feature of iGlue was first made available to a limited number of beta testers.[4]
iGlue was ranked second among the technology start-ups presenting at TechCrunch Europe's GeeknRolla conference,[5] which led to investments of US$550,000 into iGlue's developer, in4, Ltd.[6][7][8]
