Abstract

edit

This experiment investigated the experimental rotational inertias of various masses and compared them to their theoretical rotational inertias.

Theory

edit

This experiment tests the connection between the rotational inertia of differently shaped objects and their rotational acceleration under a similar force. There are two ways to determine the rotational inertia of an object: the static method and the dynamic method. The static method relies upon using the geometric measurements of the tested object.
