Khoi Nguyen

Khoi Nguyen, (Vietnamese: Khôi Nguyên Thành Nguyễn), is a Vietnamese-born American cinematographer residing in Los Angeles.

Personal Life

Born in Saigon, Vietnam, Khoi immigrated to the United States at the age of eleven and grew up in Texas. Khoi is a classically train pianist since the age of two, which he participated in many forms of music through out middle school, high school and college. He was part of orchestra, marching band, choir and jazz band.

Khoi discovered the art of filmmaker early into his senior year of high school. Attending Seven Lakes High School in Katy, he was asked to make a few promotional video for the band's fundraising event. This led to his discovery and love for cinematography. However, it wasn't until a few years later that he really dive into the art of cinematography when he made the choice to sought after an MFA at Chapman University.

In early 2017, Khoi made the move to Los Angeles and began attending grad school. During this time there, he was mentored by Johnny E. Jensen, A.S.C. and Bill Dill, A.S.C..
