Ian Seli Masinde was born and raised in Bungoma, western part of Kenya. He started his early childhood education at Miendo primary school and later transferred to Nzoia sugar Company Primary school where he excelled and joined Chesamisi High school. After completing high school,he proceeded to the University of Nairobi where he graduated with a Bachelor of science degree in Wildlife Management and conservation from the faculty of veterinary medicine.
