I'm Ian Anderson and I wish I had more time to spend on wikipedia!
Born in 1968 and incurably autodidactic. Builder, artisan, humanitarian and inventor turned writer and webmaster.
I'm a long term Englishman abroad, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, New Zealand and now in Norway raising two kids, and looking after my huge wife and fabulous mortgage, hang on that's not right...
Graduated amusingly as a so called mature student from the University of Lincoln with a masters degree in Trauma and Disaster Management. This departure into academia was to try and make more sense of the experiences I have working in East Africa from time to time.
My specialism has evolved into the restoration of old brickwork using traditional lime mortars and providing occasional consultancy services to aid based construction projects in East Africa. Plus the writing, t'internet and learning as much as possible about this interesting world of ours.
And yes, the days are never long enough :-)

I can usually be found pottering around on my blog, handycrowd.com, helping folks with their DIY related stuff.
