I am new to Wikipedia, please bear with me as I learn, trying to start a new hobby.
My background was in archaeology and historical research (more of an armchair historian these days).
My interest in Wikipedia is in adding to the information and history of the historical sites in my local area that I visit on my walks, so that others will be inspired and enjoy these places like I do.
