Arabic/Islamic culture
editArabic and Islamic culture is a significant culture that has spread all around the world. Arab culture and Islam are one of the fastest things growing all over the world, as many convert and travel to the middle east they seem to find out and look at the different things this culture has to offer for the world. Islam is the most practiced religion in the middle east and a huge part of Northern Africa with countries such as Morrocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt etc... The holy book of the religion is The Quran, and it talks about the scriptures of Islam. This culture is deeply rooted in the Islamic faith, which serves as a guiding force for various aspects of daily life, including language, art, architecture, music, literature, and cuisine.
Language and Literature
editOne of the most spoken languages around is Arabic. Arabic is the main language in the Quran which is the holy book of the religion of Islam, Arabic is a sematic that serves as a corner of Islam. The language has played a huge role of the knowledge of The Quran throughout the history time, Arabic literature going back to the times before Islam a lot of poetry, prose, with 2 important Poets named Al Mutanabbi and Al Ma'rari.
Islamic Architecture
editOne of the greatest creations of the time of Earth has been the creation of the Kaaba in Mecca. this piece of important architecture was built by the Prophet Adam (May Peace Be Upon Him). This is the Blackstone in Mecca where people around 5 times to fulfill the duty of Umrah of walking around the Kabba 5 times. Another creation are mosques of course, these are widely known of the house of Allah (God) and these are where Muslims pray this is the house of worship. Two of the most significant mosques in the middle east one located in Mecca, Saudi Arabia the name of is Masjid Al Haram which is the oldest mosque still sanding. The 2nd one is located at the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem and the famous mosque is called Al-Aqsa and this is in the center of Jerusalem.
Islam
editA lot of people have this misconception that the word Islam means peace, they are wrong the word Islam means submission. This is submission is to Allah (God). Islam is the fastest growing religion of the world as of right now, this religion started in 622 AD and the beliefs are the following of Prophet Muhammad (May Peace Be Upon Him) who is the father figure of the religion. There are 5 pillars of Islam and they are Zakat (Charity), Pray 5 times a day, Hajj which is the pilgrimage, fasting and shahada which is accepting faith. The most Muslim people in the world are located in Indonesia, Indonesia is also one of the most populated places in the whole entire world and has the highest percentage of Muslims there. Prophet Muhammad is the role model of the and is asked for people to follow the way of him.
Cuisine
editOne of the most famous foods of the Arabic culture are dates, Muslims usually eat these to break their fast at sunset when it is time to eat after fasting all day. All over different middle eastern countries people have so many different types of foods, one of the most famous if not the most popular is the kebab. Many different countries make it in different ways but at the end of the day this is still in the tier of the most famous foods in the middle east, another one is Falafel made with chickpeas and different types of spices.
Music
editIslamic music has a long history encompassing folk, classical, and modern styles. In classical Arabic music, instruments like the oud, qanun, and Ney are frequently utilized. With its various melodic modes, the "Maqam" system gives musical works more depth and passion. Islamic performing arts include puppetry, traditional dances like the Dabke, and oral storytelling.
Contributions to Science and Philosophy
editIslamic culture has a rich history of scientific and philosophical achievements. During the Islamic Golden Age, scholars made significant contributions in fields such as astronomy, medicine, mathematics, and philosophy. Figures like Ibn Sina (Avicenna) and Al-Razi (Rhazes) are celebrated for their groundbreaking contributions to medicine and philosophy.
