I'm a retired professor from a business school, interested in improving the quality of Wikipedia's business content. I recently signed on to the Business WikiProject.
As I understand this, "WikiProjects are collections of pages devoted to the management of a specific topic or family of topics within Wikipedia; and, simultaneously, a group of editors that use said pages to collaborate on encyclopedic work. It is not a place to write encyclopedia articles directly, but a resource to help coordinate and organize article writing and editing. The attached talk pages are a convenient forum for those interested in a particular project."
My particular field is Marketing and I think a Marketing WikiProject should be established, because the topic of "Business" is so enormous, and the structure and organisation of the marketing pages of Wikipedia is rather jumbled and arbitrary.
Right now my overall activity is low, but as I get more experienced I imagine it may grow.
