Economy of Namibia is the way to go

Introduction

Namibia is one of the busiest country in the African continent with a few population number, its economic standard is high even though it is still under developing, the economy of Namibian relies on three important pillars, namely; the fishing industry, mining industry and farming. even though there are other parts which contribute to the Namibian economy this three are highly recommended as the best which can put Namibia on the word map.

The Namibia fishing industry

The fishing industry of Namibia seems to be growing to the extent that it is recommended as Namibia's second biggest export earner of foreign currency after mining which earn about 90%. this sector also contribute to the GDP of Namibia. Namibia is also known as one of the top fishery African country, about 75% of fish are being processed in Namibia and exported to Europe. this industry employ workers in three categories; sea workers, personnel and onshore processing, the fishing vessels are situated in Walvis Bay Luderitz and Swakopmund. there are different fishing companies in Namibia, namely; Benguella sea food, Erongo Marine Enterprise, Cadilu Fishing {pty} Ltd, Marco fishing {pty}Ltd and Novanam Ltd, with Erongo Marine Enterprise and Novanam Ltd as the Major leaders.

The Namibia mining industry

the mining industry known as the number one largest export earner of foreign currency and we can say it contribute to 50% of Namibia economy.this sector is also known as the backbone of Namibia economy. Namibia's main mining products include diamonds, uranium, gold, zinc, copper and lead. uranium and diamond are currently the most exported products in Namibia as Namibia is one of the word largest producer of diamond and produce 10% of the word uranium.Mining is very important to Namibia and its people in terms of employment as it employ almost 3% of the population and wealth creation. Namibia is known as the world leader in Marine mining. there are few companies involving in mining in Namibia AngloGold Ashanti, Okorusu Fluorspar (Pty) Ltd, Bannerman Mining Resources Namibia (Pty) Ltd, Kolmanskop Diamonds, Nobel Paragon Mining (Pty) Ltd, De Beers (Pty) Ltd, Sakawe Mining , Rosh Pinah Mine Holdings, Rossing Uranium Corporation, Namded and Auas Diamond Company (Pty) Ltdb with Namdeb and De beers (pty) Ltd as the major leaders.he Chamber of Mines of Namibia hosted the 2012 Mining Conference on 23 May, 2012 at the Safari Hotel, with the theme: "Challenges and Opportunities in the Mining Industry" in which they discussed on how to improve the mining industry of Namibia.

Farming in Namibia

Namibia is one of the country heavily practice farming, farming contribute to 5% of the Gross Domestic product. most of the Namibian people practice subsistence farming, farming is divided into two sectors namely; livestock farming and crop farming. looking at the livestock Namibia has cattle, sheep and goats. Namibia is known as the largest exporter of beef in africa and this contribute to a large portion of economic development. we also export milk and butter to Europe and others. the largest number of Namibian population practice crop farming, they grow Maize, Mahangu, millet, sorghum, peanuts and other more.

Conclusion

Even though Namibia is facing many challenges its economic commodities is still high regarding to the three sectors. Namibia is a small country but with busy people who are trying to develop their country and create a good image to the outside world.
