The series premiered on Tokyo MX on January 12, 2014 and was subsequently aired on SUN, KBS, TVA, AT-X and BS11.[5] The anime was simulcasted in English on Crunchyroll[6][7] and licensed by Sentai Filmworks for North America.[8][9] The opening theme song "Justitia" is performed by Lia and the ending theme song "Blue Topaz" by Rui Tanabe.[5]

She is Cecil's mother and is currently on a death row, because of an incident which happened six years ago. During that time Megumi and her daughter were held hostages by a group of criminals in Kyosuke Oda's house. Arriving home, the inspector opens fire and a stray bullet accidently pierced Cecil. Desperate to take her daughter to the hospital, Megumi used fire magic on inspector Oda who got in their way and even tried to murder them.[e 1]
