About me:Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). I am a college student and dog mom of a German shepherd. We love to go hiking, and visiting new places but we mostly like to be surrounded by nature, the beautiful view of the mountains and lakes, the pacific northwest is just so mesmerizing. Also, in my free time I like to binge watch shows on Netflix like serial killer documentaries, they're just so interesting. I would go on Wikipedia to search up serial killers I would hear about and just had to read what other people had to say and just wanted to know a little more about them.
My Wikipedia interests:Cite error: There are <ref> tags on this page without content in them (see the help page). I use Wikipedia when I need to search up someone I don't know about or when I want to read more about a place or person. for example, when I hear about a serial killer I don't know about I go and search them up on Wikipedia because I feel like there's a lot of information there about them. There's also times where I search about like towns or like haunted places and their history. Those are the types of things I like to read about, and what I use Wikipedia for.

Article evaluation

edit

A few years ago I visited my dads parents in Tancitaro, Michoacán, a part in Mexico and I want to learn more about the place. I visited the Tancítaro article on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its lack of information, its dead links, and its not updated.

Lack of information

edit

This article lacks in information because it only as about three sections, that don't seem interesting. It should have more information about the past, how the town started growing. But it talks about tancitaro having the highest point in Michoacán, and about a world record of largest serving of guacamole, which are like fun facts, but we need more information of the town like what got it started, or people population, its an idea of what should be added to the article, what it lacks in.

edit

The article has links to cite where they got their information from but when you go to check the links there are few that are dead. This makes it difficult for the reader because they might want to check or maybe read more in the article from where they got their information from. Dead links aren't useful. It's also difficult to see what fact came from which link.

Not up to date

edit

The article isn't up to date, as expected, aside from lack of information, which isn't so recent. It was last edited on November 2021, but there is no new information there's articles cited from 2010,2011,2019, and 2020 but there isn't anything new, or more information of the town. The page still needs more information added from present tense.

Summary

edit

Overall, the article is poorly made. There is some information but writing about the town having the highest point in Michoacán and also having the world record of largest serving of guacamole seem like fun facts. Writing about the criminal activities did seem interesting but writing about todays activities would be more interesting now. Also, the dead links should maybe be removed and add new information and links.
