IndyDoug is the Wikipedia account name for Douglass Taft Davidoff, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA, and a writer, editor, blogger, and public relations consultant. He was a newspaper reporter before entering the public relations profession.

Born in New York City on June 16, 1957, IndyDoug was raised in Westport, Connecticut, and graduated in the Class of1975 from Staples High School in that town. He attended Duke University in Durham, North Carolina, where he participated in the freshman Twentieth Century America interdisciplinary studies program, served in several positions for the daily Duke Chronicle including news editor, sang tenor in the Duke Chorale and Chapel Choir, and graduated with a degree in history in 1980.

IndyDoug worked for the Cary News and the Raleigh Times in North Carolina before moving in 1983 to Indianapolis, Indiana, where he lived for 23 years. He worked for The Indianapolis News, the Hudson Institute, the Indiana Housing Finance Authority, and the Indiana Democratic Party staff before opening his own public relations first. First named "Davidoff Public Relations," it was renamed to "Straight Talk Public Relations."

IndyDoug relocated to Chicago in 2006 and worked there for Canright Communications and Meadville-Lombard Theological School. In 2009, he moved to Massachusetts and reactivated Straight Talk Public Relations. He moved to Connecticut in 2014 and has lived since in Bridgeport, the state's largest city.
