An overview

edit

Hello, I'm Indy beetle. I've been editing Wikipedia with a registered account since January 2016. Early on, I focused on World War I and World War II related content, with an emphasis on naval engagements and/or smaller countries and lesser known theaters. I've since branched out in my work, editing a fair amount on Cold War Africa, especially the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Burundi, while also covering subjects of North Carolina (US) history.

I served as a coordinator for the Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history from 2020 to 2023.

For your incredible magnum opus, the Lumumba Government. Fantastic work!! I've made a few edits for example to make sure that those who don't often utilize French know what a functionary is.

Should you wish to take notice of the size tag, you could move material into the Belgian Congo election 1960 and/or set up a separate article for the successor College of Commissioners-General, which deserves a separate article (in some form) anyway, and which I've redlinked. Again, thanks so much for all your hard work on this!! Buckshot06 (talk) 20:17, 21 September 2018 (UTC)

The African Union Barnstar of National Merit
I had hoped that there was a Burundian National Barnstar, but there isn't and this will have to do. Your article on Louis Rwagasore is really exceptional, particularly given the quality of the available sources, and is a big addition to WP:BURUNDI. Many thanks for your work on this and other related articles, both Burundian and Congolese! —Brigade Piron (talk) 16:26, 22 July 2021 (UTC)
  The Barnstar of National Merit
For your great work on Battle of Hayes Pond and Lowry War. Your ability to find sources for relatively obscure topics and then write compelling yet objective articles always amazes me. Keep up the good work! Applodion (talk) 11:54, 20 November 2021 (UTC)

On behalf of the FAR coordinators, thank you, Indy beetle! Your work on Barthélemy Boganda has allowed the article to retain its featured status, recognizing it as one of the best articles on Wikipedia. This is a rare accomplishment and you should be proud. You may display this FA star upon your userpage. Keep up the great work! Cheers, Nikkimaria (talk) 03:48, 22 January 2022 (UTC)

  North Carolina County Barnstar 2
Congratulations on the successful nomination of Scotland County, North Carolina! It is now the second county GA article in the state and one of the other nine across Wikipedia. Unfortunately, the review wasn't as smooth sailing as the first nomination, but it was never going to match the detail as Robeson County just due to county size alone. If you choose to nominate another county article, or for anything else, I'll always be happy to help! Thank you for work and have a great day! DiscoA340 (talk) 20:57, 6 September 2023 (UTC)
