Attempting to clarify, for now, two main issues:
(1) How do we properly cite a primary (self published or not published) source that later becomes more broadly available over time.
(Examples include texts from before the advent of electronic media -- i.e. authorial manuscripts, and also manuscript traditions.)
(2) What is the nature of knowledge ? Is it distinct from revelation ? From prophecy ? From the recounting of mystic experience ? From experiences during an altered state ? From experiences during acute psychiatric illness ?
