Santa Winter Games
The Santa Winter Games is a three day annual event held in the town of Gallivare in Northern Sweden at the end of November. Santas travel from all over the world to compete in five event; reindeer racing, kick sled racing, present wrapping, chimney climbing and an event called 'Santas Christmas Eve'. This involves running around a pole to simulate the effects of drinking lots of brandy. Contestants are scored on style and completion of event. At the end of the three days a champion Santa is named.
The Santa WInter Games has been running since 2002.

The Santa Winter Games was the subject of a the documentary World Champion Santa The program follows Dave Downey journey to becoming a champion Santa. World Champion Santa was broadcasted on ABC1 in Australia on December 24th 2009.
