Projecis is a cloud-based knowledge convergence platform that was created in 2009 by Russell Holmes. The company is based in the United States. The platform allows project stakeholders to connect teams, while organizing data and information. Project teams of companies in various fields use the platform, including, education, service industries, consulting, general business, software development and clinical research. The system is said to help large project teams with frequent and complex discussions.[1]
Overview
editRussell Holmes is the founder of Projecis, which he founded in 2009. Holmes had previous experience with Synteract, which is a contract research organization, which he co-founded. The company was created after Holmes noted that projects struggled due to poor organization, and that the problems were common across various fields. Projecis is used in industry where teams are diverse and operate with multiple deadlines.[2]
History
editIn 2011, the company demonstrated and showcased Projecis at DIA 2011, which was located in Chicago.[3]
Throughout 2012, the company developed various additions and improvements to the platform, including VOIP improvements and new user interfaces.[4][5]
In November 2013, Spaulding Clinical[6][7] announced that their teams would be using the Projecis system in order to monitor and manage their clinical projects. During the same year Tekton Research[8] and InSoCal Connect [9] also implemented Projecis. Key personnel also include Geoff Maddox, Chief Software Architect and Paul TanPiengco VP of Marketing and Business Development.[10]
