The mawali (Muslims but not Arabs) united with the Abbasid dynasty which contributed to The fall of the Umayyad Dynasty. The Abbasids really hated the Umayyad dynasty.

War with the Abbasids (750)

The Umayyads had a war with the Abbasids and it was called "Zab", Arabic: "الزاب". In the year 750 (Islamic year: 132) the Umayyad empire fell to the Abbasid empire.

The Emirate of Cordoba

The rise of the Emirate of Cordoba

The Abbasids killed all the rulers of the Umayyad dynasty except for Abdul Rehman bin Muawia, Arabic: "عبد الرحمن بن معاوية". Abdul Rehman bin Muawia managed to create the Emirate of Cordoba (The Arabs call it "الدولة الأموية في الأندلس".)
