Born Jonathan Woods in Jackson Mississppi, to father Michael Martin(née Martinez) whose family are landowners and timberfarmers originally from Attala County MS who are of Mulatto descent and Debra Woods originally from Vicksburg MS and raised in the middle-class suburb of Bel-Air in Jackson MS with her (Italian,Cherokee-Indian,Irish,African American) mother a homemaker, and father who was war-veteran employed by the government of Mississippi. Jonathan relocated to Milwaukee WI when he was three years old with his mother and father because his father's immediate family all resided there, when he was five his mother and father split up. He was raised primarily by his mother who has been an educator since he was born, with assistance from his paternal grandparents.
Jonathan is a 2008 Graduate of Jackson State University with a degree in Criminal Justice, In 2009 while working for Saks Inc he developed a strong interest in fashion while doing selected personal shopping for their high-end clientele one of the most notable being actress Sean Young who was so impressed she asked him for his home address to send him an autographed 8x10 of herself.
In 2010 Jonathan took his love for fashion and personal appearance and created a blog called Lifenhip-pop.blogspot.com it was initially just intended to be just a how-to-guide for Men to improve their own style and personal appearance however overnight it generated 1,000views. Lifenhip-pop went viral with it being linked to his twitter page which caused him to diversify his topics, and allowed him to interviews showcasing the talents of others within the fashion/entertainment industry. He has to name a few conducted interviews with Olympic Trackstar David Oliver, 2012 London Olympian Michael Tinsley which was also his classmate in college,International Male Model Lamar James Ballard, International Male Model Danny Nunez, Choreographer to the stars Khasan Brailsford who is linked to such major talent as Rihanna,Beyonce,Jlo,and Nicki Minaj. Lifenhip-pop has since spanned the globe to all seven continents, and nearly every country in the world.
In 2012 Jonathan started an internship with the New York based Entertainment/Fashion/PR-Firm Verve MgMt, he currently divides his time between Chicago and Occasionally New York for work to help build his foundation for a solid career in the industry.
