Jane Shivick, is an American operatic soprano. She graduated from Assumption University and furthered her vocal studies at The Hartt School (University of Hartford). She won second prize in the New England Regional Metropolitan Opera Nat'l Council Auditions in 1997 and became a National Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Auditions in 1998 on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. She was a two-time Award recipient of the Gerda Lissner International Vocal Competition. Ms. Shivick has been a member of the Aspen Opera Theater Center in Aspen, CO and is a frequent soloist throughout the New England area having sung several orchestral and oratorio performances including Verdi's Requiem and Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. She has sung several performances with The Boston Pops Orchestra as well as the title role in Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Strauss)

Ms. Shivick has successfully trained under the auspices of operatic sopranos Jane Eaglen, Maria Spacagna, and Ruth Falcon as well as bass-baritone Gary Kendall and tenor George Shirley. In addition, she has worked extensively with Joan Dornemann on roles such as the title role in Turandot (Puccini) and Amelia (Un Ballo in Maschera, Verdi.)
