Dempsey is a mother of two who is constantly fighting for women’s reproductive rights.[1]

Dempsey won custody of her children despite being openly gay.[2]

Rosemary Dempsey was Vice President of NOW, The National Organization of Women.[3]

Dempsey was heavily involved in the act of demanding more laws towards domestic violence. [4]

Dempsey traveled to Tokyo in 1996 to raise awareness about sexual harassment and with her help, the EEOC, sued Mitsubishi which eventually agreed to pay $34 million in a settlement.[5]
