Forest Policy refers to the laws, government programs, and administrative decisions that governments take with regard to their forests. The primary issue forest policy addresses is the conflict between the use of forests for human benefit and the conservation of those forests' natural value. Forest policy can be enacted on the international, national, state/provincial, or local level, as well as through public influence of private entities.
