Staarks (band)

Formed in Chesham, Hertfordshire in 2019, Staarks is a four-man indie rock band consisting of singer and backing guitarist Anna Brissimitzakas, lead guitarist Harry Whiting, bassist Peter Mcauley and drummer Rocco Barbuti. Their first single, titled giving up, released on Spotify and Apple music in early 2020 followed by their second single, Another Lover in November of 2020.

Origins

The band originally started as a GCSE project for guitarist Harry Whiting and original singer Matt Human, before they later adopted drummer Rocco Barbuti and bassist Peter Mcauly. They then changed singer to Anna Brissimitzakis.

•Rumour has it Harry Whiting is actually a better singer than Anna Brissimitzakis although this currently cannot be confirmed nor denied

•They played their first live show on Valentine’s day (February 14th) 2020

•Rumor has it that their rival band who shall not be named so as not to give them any credit (although it rhymes with sintrospective - you know who you are) are all secretly emotionless lizard people who, according to our sources, would not know good music taste if it slapped them across the face
