Valon Konushevci was born on the 14th of August 1986 in Prishtina. He is an Albanian, a citizen of the Republic of Kosovo.
He is a professional sports journalist with 15 years of experience. He studied Mass Communication and Journalism.
So far he has worked in some of the most reliable media in Kosovo, first as a journalist and then as an editor.
Currently he is a working as a sport editor in Gazeta Express and T7 television. He is a producer of one of the most watched sports shows in Kosovo – “Favorit”.
Konushevci is the winner of several awards for sports journalism awarded by the Association of Journalists of Kosovo and the Association of Sports Journalists of Kosovo.
He is known for research on sports journalism through which many scandals have been revealed, and which have aroused debates and reactions, but also have brought pressures and threats against him, for which the organizations dealing with the protection of journalists have also come out in defense.
Through a critical and courageous reporting, he tries to fight the negative phenomena in Kosovo’s sport.
He also writes columns, and is often invited as a pundit in Kosovo’s televisions.
For several years now, Valon Konushevci has been selected by FIFA as a professional sports journalist from Kosovo to vote for The Best FIFA Football Awards, where journalists from each member state vote.
He has covered many major international matches at both club and national level, including his reporting from the UEFA European Super Cup match between Real Madrid and Manchester United.
He has not left aside public information in Kosovo even about the strongest European championships such as Serie A, La Liga, Premier League, Bundesliga, etc.
Valon Konushevci is married with Besa Berisha and they have two children, Nur and Jan.
