WP:BOLDly fulfill the Encyclopedic Mission.
Science and Art are the intellectual virtues, according to the Nicomachean Ethics, and the moral four cardinal virtues are also a propos to successful contributing, editing, and when necessary, prevailing in disputation. Cultivate αρετε - excellence in contributing, and seek the ευδαιμονια - happiness, welfare of the readers, which is the τελος - purpose of the encyclopedia.
- Sources
- WP:VERIFY with WP:INDEPENDENT sources while quoting WP:PRIMARY
- WP:USEPRIMARY - but no {{AEIS}}: analysis, evaluation, interpretation, or synthesis
- WP:MNA and give WP:DUE weight, but don't WP:GEVAL
- Discourse & Consensus
- WP:Bold-refine is the best collaborative writing/editing process.
- WP:BRDR when necessary, but WP:PRESERVE and WP:Listen
WP:Competence is required, wikipedia:Revert only when necessary, and WP:DONTBITE the newcomers.- If the rules impede the WP:Encyclopedia, WP:Ignore all rules. You don't have know or even read the WP:Policies and guidelines to successfully edit. When in doubt, ignore them.
- Content Disputes
- Address the substantive questions of content, WP:DRWNE, and no WP:TENDENTIOUS WP:PETTIFOG while fixating on superficial aspects of style, diction, grammar, please.
- WP:Obvert unjustified reversions.
- WP:PRESERVE WP:ENC
- Allegation of bias is not WP:ASPERSIONS. WP:CSB
- Questioning subject-matter competence, editorial competence, and faulting conduct is not in and of itself a WP:Personal attack, which would be rightly prohibited per WP:Civility. And civil competence also requires WP:CANDOR. The essay WP:CIR, though, is an uncivil attack piece, and I hereby apologize for having linked to it or cited it in discourse, and acknowledge ipso facto my own incompetence in so doing. I humbly offer this instead: Draft:Wikipedia:Competence is desired.
- Spurious accusations of misconduct are a red herring and possibly an Abuse of process when its taken to WP:ANI, IMHO.
- BTW, WP:WTF?

The words of the wise are like goads, like nails driven by a master craftsman, given by a single shepherd. Beyond these, my son, beware! Of the writing of many books, there is no end, and much study is wearisome to the flesh.
— Qoheleth / The Collector, Son of David, King in Jerusalem, The Collection of Collections., 12:11-12
