Overview:
editComma is a local café located in The Commons building on the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus. Comma was established and opened in January of 2019, along with the grand opening of The Commons building1[1]. The University of British Columbia's Okanagan Campus also resides on the traditional unceded Syilx territory.
Serving/Menu:
editComma serves a variety of hot and cold meal options and snacks, including sandwiches, soups, and pastries. The food served is made in house with locally-sourced ingredients, or provided by micro-food producers daily. Comma serves coffee brewed from Bright Jenny Coffee beans, which is a Kelowna-based small batch roaster2.
Nutrislice:
editAs of September 2020, UBC Okanagan Food Services began offering nutrition information on Comma offerings through Nutrislice. This service provides allergen, nutrition, and ingredient information on an online platform, as well as tools for selecting meals based on dietary needs3.
