Englewood Dam was constructed as a Works Progress Administration project during the 1930's. It is located on Little Dry Creek approximately 9 channel miles upstream from Englewood, Colorado. The project serves as a flood detention dam for control of about 11 square mile's of the 27 square mile drainage area of the Little Dry Creek basin. Storage capacity is approximately 1,485 acre-feet at spillway crest.[1]
The dam is located in the Willow Springs Open Space in Centennial, Colorado which is part of the South Suburban Parks and Recreation District.[2]
