Gianin Loringett (June 22, 1948) is a swiss born jazz dancer, musician, choreographer and teacher living in Nice, France since 1985. Matt Mattox was his biggest influence and later he became a dancer for the company. He has built a significant career in the world of jazzdance both as performer and later choreographer. He collaborated with Matt Mattox until his final years working as his assistant for the last two years. Gianin Loringett is known for his musical approach to jazzdance and pioneering in bringing body drumming into the execution of jazzdance technique in class. He’s method is an evolution of the Mattox technique. He founded OFF JAZZ DANCE CENTER in February 1986 to give a professional study program that specializes in jazz dance to this day.
