I never stopped liking you Jacob. Now go email me and say something back. NOW. Please?

A delicate leaf Twirls slowly down until It reaches the ground.

When bad feelings come My feelings twist and turn, but I still make it through.

There was a girl born in the south Who found it hard to close her mouth. When she claimed that she did Her friends laughed and said “Yeah right!” (They really had doubts).

Flying here, flying there. Every flower in the square Is so sweet, just like life When you forget all the strife.

If I had three words to describe my graduating year at Hedenkamp, they would “changing”, “exciting”, and “memorable”. For example, so much of me has changed since the first day of sixth grade, but it’s definitely been a change for the better. I feel as if I’m new and improved, with more experience, knowledge, and confidence. Each day of this past year has totally been exciting. From every-day lessons taught by Mrs. Reiff, to the amazing days spent at Camp Fox; I’ve had an awesome time through it all. And of course, 6th grade was absolutely memorable. I will never forget the field trips I set off on*, the friends I’ve made, and the lessons learned (both figuratively and literally). As a student who has made it through this year alive, I would just like to say God Bless to all my classmates, and I wish you the best in our years to come. Thank you!

A bureaucracy is a system of government made up of multiple departments and bureaus. In Ancient China, the head of bureaucracy was the emperor, who ruled over a dynasty. Emperor Shi Huangdi created this system and each department was led by an appointed official. Huangdi’s original method is much different from today’s version, and included many defenses against rebellion. Some examples included melting down any non-military weapons, and moving all the nobles to the Qin capital city of Xianyang, where officials kept an eye on them to make sure they did not rebel against the king.

Civil Service A great part of the ancient Chinese government was the civil service. The civil service was a branch of bureaucracy in charge of overseeing every day life in the villages. Civil service was also a main part of the social structure, because those participating were part of a higher social class, or level of society. To enter the civil service, nobles would be required to undergo rigorous testing and training before they could be accepted. Apparently, it was a rather difficult ordeal, but it was most probably worth it.

Diviner Diviners played a huge role in the Shang dynasty. Not only did the emperor depended on them greatly, they were the only ones special enough to burn and interpret the oracle bones.
