Lived in Thailand during teenage years: ordained as novice Buddhist priest by His Holiness The Supreme Patriarch of Thailand; worked as reporter-photographer for the Nation, an English language daily. Briefly studied Sitar in India. Played in numerous bands. Pomfret School, Ct. diploma, Valedictorian, 1971. Toured as bass player and guitarist with the band Big Lost 1973 - 1975. Art Center College of Design, BFA in film, magna cum laude, 1979. Long career producing, directing, editing TV commercials, industrial films, and documentaries. Numerous US and international awards. Young & Rubicam, Kenyon & Eckhardt, McCann-Erickson, Ogilvy & Mather, then independent. Instructor in Film and Advertising at Art Center College of Design, 1983 - 1992. Chairman, Advertising Design and Motion PIctures, Academy of Art College, San Francisco, CA. 1992 - 1994. Producer and composer of music for TV commercials, ballet, concert, jazz orchestra. Languages: English, some spoken Thai and French.
