Article Evaluation: Greek Conquest in India

edit
  • The lead section is not a condensed clear summary of what the article is about and could be expanded on to provide a better description of the article.
  • The section, "Legend of the God Bacchus in India", seems out of place and relevant to the title. It appears it is being represented as the first conquest of India by a Greek but since it is a god I feel it gets off topic. The subsection, "Involvement in the rise of Chandragupta", did not seem relevant to this article. The article in a whole seems to be all over the place and hard to follow.
  • The article was neutral and did not lean toward one position more than another.
  • The citations work. The source list consists of only one source, while the reference list contains references to multiple sources not listed.
  • There are large sections of text not containing any references. The section, "Conquest of Alexander the Great (327-326 BC)", did not contain a single reference and this is the largest section of the article.
  • The talk page only has comments from three editors. Two editors consider the first writer to be rambling and all over the place. Of these two editors, one suggest this article be deleted. The talk page for this article has been silent since June 18, 2013.
  • The article is part of two Wiki Projects, Wiki Project India/History and Wiki Project Greece. It is start-rated and mid-importance for both Wiki Projects.
  • We have not talked about this topic in class.
