Jbowler

JBowler is John Bowler (along, of course, with a whole load of other people on this planet.) This particular jbowler can be contacted at jbowler@acm.org. I (that is, the John Bowler in question) run cascaded spam filters on my email, so messages may not get through to me, but most of the time they seem to. (As time goes on this brave assertion becomes less true.)

Now you may wonder, why can't John Bowler ever remember to log in before editing a page, and WTH is this person Special:Contributions/74.*.*.*? I ask myself the same question, it's partly because I refuse to let any Internet Browser record my passwords, however secure the browser or unimportant the password. Anyway, I apologise profusely. The problem is now fixed - I use a permanent single IP address. To find out my IP address ping:

(no, there is no HTTP service on that name at present, neither is there an open proxy, open SMTP server or anything like that, just in case you thought there might be.) Here's a partial list of the IP addresses from which I may have posted anonymously:

NOTE: I have not used 75.142.62.125, which is an address from a Charter server in Pasadena, USA, nevertheless someone just (2013-02-27) requested a password reset on this account from that IP.
